Montana, the “Big Sky,” calls you. The very name of the state is Latin for “mountainous!” Seemingly endless mountain ranges stretch on forever and ever, challenging your eyes to find the limits of their beauty. It’s almost as if the entire state is one vast painting that you have just stepped right into. If you are a lover of winter activities, then there is absolutely no substitute. The fourth largest state in the nation, Montana is home to less than 1 million people. Simplicity is the key, and if you’re going to try to strain yourself or focus on real world problems, just don’t even bother. Wear multiple layers; the cold in Montana is often overestimated by outsiders, and the best strategy is to have warmth you can shed. The dramatic shifts in elevation actually provide a shimmering climate with temperatures changing with the hour. The food is incomparable; you love steak and if it’s not the finest cut then you must have left already. Of course, Yellowstone National Park is undeniable; no Montana vacation is complete without a visit to the world’s most concentrated area for geyser activity If you don’t believe in magic, maybe it’s time you let the wonder of America’s “Treasure State” convince you otherwise.
